Position Overview 

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by securing high-ticket enterprise deals in the software development services domain. Based in India, the BDM will focus on developing business in the US market, leveraging existing relationships and networks to bring in deals quickly. Occasional travel to the US for client meetings will be required and having an existing US visa is a plus.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales strategy targeting enterprise clients in both India and the US, with a strong emphasis on the US market.  

  • Leverage Relationships: Utilize your existing network to bring in new business opportunities quickly, focusing on large, enterprise-level clients.  

  • Lead Generation: Collaborate with outsourced SDRs to maintain a strong pipeline of pre-qualified leads and actively manage them through the sales funnel.  

  • Deal Closure: Lead the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing, securing large, high-value deals.  

  • US Market Travel: Travel to the US for client meetings and presentations as needed. Having an existing US visa will be considered a plus.  

  • Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment on lead generation strategies, including LinkedIn ads, referral programs, and case study promotions.  

  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline activity, and deal velocity to senior leadership.  

Must-Have Requirements 

  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in business development within the software development services industry.  

  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability to close large enterprise deals, particularly with clients in industries such as tech, finance, and healthcare.  

  • Client Relationships: Strong, established relationships with decision-makers in both the Indian and US markets.  

  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the US market, its dynamics, and enterprise client needs.  

  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.  

  • Location: Based in India, with the ability to travel to the US when necessary.   

Nice-to-Have Requirements  

  • US Visa: Existing US visa or eligibility to travel to the US.  

  • Educational Background: MBA or advanced degree in business or IT is a plus.  

  • Cultural Competence: Familiarity with both Indian and US business cultures.
