We are hiring a top-tier Freelance Project Manager with extensive experience in managing complex software development projects. This on-demand role, under a Master Service Agreement (MSA), requires a seasoned project manager who excels at delivering projects on time, within scope, and budget. You will also support the bid defense process, demonstrating how the project will be managed, risks mitigated, and success ensured.
Bid Defense Leadership: Support bid defense presentations by providing detailed project plans, risk management strategies, and resource allocation plans. Clearly articulate how the project will be executed to meet timelines and budgets.
Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that outline key milestones, deliverables, resource allocation, and timelines for software development projects.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and clients, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of progress, risks, and key decision points throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure the project remains on track. Present these risk management plans to clients during bid defense meetings.
Budget Control & Resource Allocation: Monitor project budgets, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated and costs are controlled. Provide financial updates and recommend adjustments as necessary to keep projects within financial targets.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, solution architects, UI/UX designers, and client teams to ensure smooth execution of software development projects.
Software Development Project Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience managing complex software development projects, with expertise in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies.
Bid Defense Experience: Proven track record of supporting bid defense meetings, with the ability to present project plans, timelines, and financial justifications to senior client stakeholders.
Leadership & Communication Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage large, cross-functional teams and lead complex projects from initiation through completion.
Tool Proficiency: Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project, and financial tracking tools.
Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Experience managing software development projects in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, or technology.
